Mark Nardone

Mark Nardone is the CISO at Northeastern University in Boston, also his alma mater, with a master’s degree in management information systems. A graduate of the university’s Northeastern Leadership Program, as well as Evanta CISO Institute, with more than 15 years’ experience in the cybersecurity field. He holds the most valued credentials in the information security and privacy fields, and is an active member of the information security community in the New England area.

He has been part of the University Cybersecurity Program from its inception in 2001, and since taking the helm in 2011 has built this function to be the central university resource to protect and preserve information assets and privacy of the Northeastern community. The office advises and implements IT-related policies and practices, and coordinates the activities and resources of all departments within the university who share responsibility for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of institutional data and data processing capabilities.
